Do Survey Pop Boxes Annoy Consumers?

Survey requests have been disrupting customers’ activity on many websites. These are the tiny pop up  boxes that appear on your screen asking for your feedback because you are important - a super obvious marketing blurb. I have seen them online stores (BestBuy), career websites (Monster) and before at online newspaper. And more than half of the time, I have abandoned my web activity after my initial search – I don’t look for other information beyond my initial search. If I don’t find the product that I have originally searched for (e.g. Dre headhpone), I don’t explore other products )even though I remembered that I also need a phone charger).
