This is how to confuse your customer

I saw this sign while shopping at the Eaton Center. I was overly confused. The sign says that it’s 50% off everything with a subtitle that says select items. This is why customers are confuse.

Christmas at Starbucks

It’s Christmas at Starbucks. Creating a festive atmosphere enhances customer experience. Though I have not done this, it might be worth decorating your shops catering to different traditions e.g. Hannukah, Ramadan. It provides a sense of “welcomeness” to those who celebrate it. The same, other celebrations like Memorial Day are reasons to decorate shops.

Give Your Clients Assurances

Minimize doubt about your products through signs that talk about the quality (or benefits) of your products. This poster on a bakery is a hit among pedestrians. It serves two pursposes; to catch attention, thus the red color and to provide assurance that their goods are fresh!

Facebook is Scared of Google. Really Scared.

Google, described by Mashable as “heavy underdog in the social networking race”, has launched Google+ being tested by proud (privileged) invitees. The Facebook vs Google+ wrestling was made easier by Mohamed Mansour who wrote a plugin that pulled Facebook data to be used for Google+. The plugin has been blocked. Dead. Facebook has killed it.
